It is the safari capital of Kenya and a vibrant city. Nairobi is famous for its food, culture, and fascinating nightlife.
The Nairobi excursion is ideal before or after your safari. It enables you to interact closely with animals like elephants and giraffes. But even in this busy city, you can get up close to the animals at the world-famous Sheldrick Trust, the Giraffe Center, and Nairobi National Park.
GIRAFFE CENTER
Feed him or her & get kissed
Nowhere on the planet, you can pair with the tallest animal on the planet, feed him (or her) a grain of food by hand, carefully observe their long green tongues, and happily accept their offerings. Then to his surprise, after a while, he received a kiss from the same huge giraffe tongue.
That place can only be the Nairobi Giraffe Center, a favorite paradise for giraffe lovers, ecologists, schoolchildren and happy tourists who want to see the famous Rothschild giraffe in the city center.
SHELDRIC TRUST (Elephant Orphanage)
This world-famous paradise for natural orphans proves our most kind and noble instincts. Seeing dozens of small animals tend to recover and play with other orphans is enough to make humans and elephants smile.
Location: Located in Nairobi National Park, about a 45-minute drive from the center of Nairobi.
Operating Hours: The orphanage is open to the public for one hour a day, from 11:00hrs. to 12:00hrs. only by prior booking.
NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK.
“The only wildlife capital in the world”
It’s probably the most unique national park in the world. Where else can you spot lions, rhino, buffalo and giraffe just minutes from a national capital city. Only 7 km (4 mi) from the heart of downtown, Nairobi National Park is a wonder of wildlife in a grassland setting but framed by the skyscrapers of bustling Nairobi in the background. The scattered acacia bushes are home to various wild animals, including the endangered black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, buffalo, giraffe and various birds, with 400 A variety of registered species. Visitors can enjoy the park’s picnic sites, three campgrounds, and hiking trails.
