COVID 19 UPDATE

  •  It is now possible to apply for a Kenya visa online at least 7 days prior to arrival. Log in to https://accounts.ecitizen.go.ke/register/visitor.
  • We would like to inform you that 100% visas will take effect on January 1, 2021. From that date, no visa will be issued on arrival. Children under 16 do not need a visa.
  • Must have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity and at least two blank pages.
  • Kenya: If the COVID19 PCR test is negative, more than 180 countries can enter Kenya. The test must be performed within 96 hours of the sample collection date prior to arrival. This may change at any time, so it’s best to check again.
  • The list of countries allowed to enter Kenya is reviewed daily and new countries are added because they are eligible for exemption from quarantine. The latest list can be accessed via the following link: https://www.kcaa.or.ke/quarantineexemptedstates
  • Passengers must have a QR code indicating that they have lined up to fill out the traveler’s health monitoring form before departure. This is done online here: https://ears.health.go.ke/airline_registration/
  • The passenger’s body temperature must not exceed 37.5°C (99.5°F) and must not have any symptoms of coronavirus.
  • Passengers leaving Kenya are advised to go to an authorized laboratory for COVID19 RT PCR testing and obtain a trusted travel (TT) code that can be verified by airlines and port health authorities. Passengers will receive a text message (SMS) from panaBIOS and an email from the testing laboratory and/or admin@panabios.org, which contains a link to instruct the passenger to generate a travel code at panabios.org
  • Passenger departure personnel can visit www.panabios.org Enter the TT code on the certificate online at africacdc.org/trustedtravel. If the test certificate is from a jurisdiction that does not have TT, they can use www.globalhaven.org or Global Haven to generate a travel seal through the trusted travel portal www.africacdc.org/trustedtravel. After successful verification according to the requirements of the destination country / region, the system will issue a secondary travel stamp (TC code) for the passenger to approve the departure from Kenya. The most recent testing requirements can be obtained at www.xchange.panabios.org/countries/offers/ (for example, COVID19 testing requirements must be within 96 hours prior to travel)

There is undoubtedly no determined end in sight of the COVID-19 pandemic although global efforts to find vaccine(s) and develop guidelines on how to live with COVID-19 have picked momentum.

Our answer is YES. Kenya has been listed among the 80 global destinations certified and authorized to use the “World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Safe Travel Stamp” after the destination’s adopted the global COVID-19 health and hygiene standardized protocols.

This stamp allows for the recognition of Kenya as a viable holiday safari destination subject to the implementation of the health and safety protocols.

Sensational Adventures has adopted tourism and hospitality protocols on health and safety to curb the effects of the disruptions caused by the corona virus disease and taken responsibility of ensuring that destination Kenya is safe for tourism business.
