Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulfur springs, the savannah, and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.
DAY 1: NAIROBI -AMBOSELI
We depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive on the Mombasa/ Nairobi highway to Amboseli National park located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro en-route game drive on our way to the camp/ lodge.
DAY 2: AMBOSELI
Full day safari games drive with packed lunch. You will also have a chance to visit the Observation Hill for Panoramic views over the whole of Amboseli.
DAY 3: AMBOSELI – NAIROBI
After breakfast at the lodge/camp, optional visit to a Masai Village, thereafter depart Amboseli National Park to Nairobi. Arrive in Nairobi late in the afternoon.
